A County Roscommon woman won the ‘Distinguished leader of the year 2023’ award at the All-Ireland Credit Union Awards held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, Dublin on Saturday night. The award was won by CEO of Roscommon Credit Union Bernie Moran. Speaking about the night Chairman John Devaney said: “We are proud and delighted to see Bernie recognised for her contribution, which is a true reflection of her commitment to Roscommon CU and the wider Credit Union movement.”Bernie accepted her trophy and acknowledged the great staff, Board of Directors and Board Oversight Committee in Roscommon Credit Union who work collectively for the good of members. “I am proud to be the CEO of Roscommon Credit Union,” Bernie said. This well-deserved honour not only recognises Bernie’s achievements but also demonstrates the high standard of leadership in the Credit Union movement, the awards ceremony heard on Saturday night.
